The Studebaker Avanti is a personal luxury coupe manufactured between 1962 and 1963 by Studebaker Corporation. The Avanti began as a top-secret project cloaked in mystery and it was described as one of the most significant milestones of the postwar industry. The design team was formed by industrial designer Raymond Loewy and 3 other men of different ages and different backgrounds that were brought together in a secret location in Palm Springs, California to come up with an all-new car that would spark a resurgence in Studebaker car sales.
