The Palm Springs City Hall is a great example of mid century modern architecture. Designed by Swiss architect Albert Frey who established a style of modernist architecture centered on Palm Springs, California. This architecturally significant masterpiece features a very interesting screen wall made with metal tubing cut at angles and arranged in columns to block the morning sun. These screens became a popular feature repeated on countless buildings in the region. The building was completed in 1952.
